BELLA GArDEN SEEDS

OVERVIEW
Bella Garden Seeds is a seed brand designed to make gardening accessible for everyone, from apartment gardeners to families and home cooks. The packaging system was created to support a large catalog of seed varieties while maintaining a clear, approachable visual identity across individual packets and curated bundles.
I designed packaging for 52 individual seed packets and 29 curated bundles, creating a flexible system that could scale across a large product catalog.
The Challenge
Design packaging that could scale across dozens of seed varieties while remaining approachable and easy to navigate.
The system needed to:
Support a large and growing catalog
Clearly differentiate seed types and collections
Appeal to both beginner and experienced gardeners
Maintain visual consistency across 80+ SKUs
Packaging System
To support a large product line, I created a flexible packaging layout that organizes key information consistently across all seed varieties. The system allows each seed type to feel distinct while still belonging to the same brand family.
Consistent placement of product names, imagery, and supporting information ensures the packaging remains easy to scan both online and in retail environments.
Custom Composed Imagery
Each package features custom visuals created by compositing multiple images together. This allowed me to create vibrant, cohesive imagery that highlights the character of each plant while maintaining consistency across the entire product line.
This process helped avoid the mismatched look that can happen when relying on unrelated stock images.
INDIVIDUAL PACKETS
Individual packets feature familiar varieties such as tomatoes, peppers, and other garden staples. The front design uses vibrant, approachable imagery to make each packet visually inviting while helping gardeners quickly identify the plant.
The back of the packaging was designed to prioritize clarity and accessibility. Key planting instructions and growing details are organized in a structured layout, making the information easy to scan and especially helpful for beginner gardeners.
BUNDLES
Bella Garden Seeds also offers curated seed bundles designed to make gardening easier to start. These collections group complementary varieties around themes like climate-friendly gardens, kid-friendly plants, or cost-saving starter sets.
The bundle packaging was designed to clearly communicate each collection’s purpose while maintaining a cohesive visual system with the individual packets. Simple labeling and organized information help gardeners quickly understand what each bundle offers.
Outcome
The final packaging system creates a cohesive visual identity across both individual seed packets and curated bundles. The flexible design allows the brand to expand its product catalog while maintaining consistency and clarity across the full product line.
The inviting front designs and easy-to-scan planting information make the seeds approachable for beginners, while the bundle collections help simplify the process of getting started with gardening. Together, the system supports a wide range of gardeners while reinforcing the Bella Garden Seeds brand.
